I’m Ryan Jacobs. I’m a 2011 MBA candidate attending the Rady School of Management at the University of California, San Diego. Before coming to Rady, I worked for the Stanford University Creative Writing Program, where I was one of two administrators. It was a good work environment for me, as I was able to take on meaningful challenges myself with little bureaucratic interference, even as a relatively new employee. Not surprisingly, my experience at Stanford led me to develop a strong interest in Organizational Strategy and Human Resources as well as entrepreneurship, which is part of the reason I ended up at Rady. I am an intern at the Beyster Institute, where I help populate and refine financial models of employee ownership schema. You can download my resume here, please feel free to contact me using the info therein.
In the words of J.K. Rowling, though, “our c.v.’s are not our lives.” This is my personal blog, so while I do sometimes talk about business, I also talk a fair amount about designer jeans. Fair warning.
